It's cheaper to buy the 5 gold mount and use wind widgets to upgrade it than buying the prettier ones.
Why?
The 5 Gold Flying mounts start off at a speed of 1.00/3.00.
Every upgrade increases it by .50 so to max it you would need to go through all four upgrades.
- 1st upgrade 1.50/3.50 - 20 widgets
- 2nd upgrade 2.00/4.00 - 60 widgets
- 3rd upgrade 2.50/4.50 - 80 widgets
- 4th upgrade 3.00/5.00 - 80 widgets
Wind widgets are 10 silver ea. or 90 silver for a 10 pack.
So given this information the cost of upgrades would be
- 1st upgrade - 1 gold 80 silver
- 2nd upgrade - 5 gold 40 silver
- 3rd upgrade - 7 gold 20sliver
- 4th upgrade(Final) - 7 gold 20 silver
- Total upgrade cost is 21.60 gold + the cost of the mount = 26.60 gold
But what if I don't like the 5 gold mount? What if i want to buy the other cooler looking mounts?
- 10 gold flying mount
- Start speed. 1.50/3.50
- 1st upgrade 2.00/4.00 - 60 widgets = 5 gold 40 silver
- 2nd upgrade 2.50/4.50 - 80 widgets = 7 gold 20 silver
- 3rd upgrade (final) 3.00/5.00 - 80 widgets = 7 gold 20 silver
- Cost of upgrade is 19 gold 80 silver + mount = 29 gold 80 silver
- 15 gold flying mount
- Has the same speed and upgrade cost as the 10 gold mount
- So upgrade cost is 19 gold 80 silver + mount = 34 gold 80 silver
- 20 gold mount
- Start speed - 2.00/4.00
- 1st upgrade - 2.50/4.50 - 80 widgets = 7 gold 20 silver
- 2nd upgrade(final) 3.00/5.00 - 80 widgets = 7 gold 20 silver
- Total upgrade cost is 14 gold 40 silver + mount = 34 gold 40 silver
- 30 gold flying mount
- Starting speed 2.50/4.50
- 1st upgrade (final) 3.00/5.00 - 80 widgets = 7 gold 20 silver
- total upgrade cost 7 gold 20 silver + mount = 37 gold 20 silver
