==Luring== Luring is more of an art than a skill. A full guide can be found [[Venomancer Luring|here]]. Here are a few extra tips and tricks: ''General Luring Tips'' # Besides Tame and Earthflame, you can't pull mobs with magic. Pull. With. Your. Pet. # If the tank has Earthflame on his genie and wants to pull, let him pull. # When it comes to bosses or difficult pulls, you're the lurer. # Don't be too far away from your pet. If it goes out of range, it will teleport to your side and all the mobs that aggroed on the pet will still be aggroed on it and come running your way. Unsummoning will cause the mobs to reset as long as they haven't been hit or gotten too close to the group and aggro on your squadmates. # If someone asks you to do something you haven't done before, make sure that you understand what they want. Don't pull the wrong monster! If you're not sure that you can do it, tell the team. They might have a Plan-B available. That said, do try new things. :) # Always, always check if your team is ready for you to pull. Nothing is worse than pulling the big bad guy moments before the tank says "AFK: Gotta potty". # It helps, especially on fast monsters, if you say WHAT you are pulling. # Always check to make sure that Reflect is not active on the pet that is pulling. ''Luring pets:'' # Speedy pets. These get the job done by running so fast, few mobs along the way have the chance to hit them. Although it's generally a good idea to make sure they can at least take a couple hits along the way. (Examples: Ninetailed Firefox, Kowlin, Tabby Plumdrop, etc.) # Ranged pets. These pets stay safe by simply staying farther away. Also, a majority of bosses have weaker magic attacks than physical attacks, so a ranged pet won't be getting beat as much as others would. To use a ranged skill, deselect the active skill (highlighted) by right clicking on it and then have your pet go in and attack. The higher the tame level, the greater the pet's range. (Examples: Eldergoths, Cactopods) # Strong pets. Sometimes, you need a pet that can take a beating on the way to the boss. A pet with high defenses makes a good puller in these cases. However, if you're planning on tanking and catching the mob yourself, it isn't advised that you pull with your tank pet! ''Order to pull:''<br> ''(Caution: This is a general guideline. Always assess the situation first as there may be a better order to pull things.)'' # '''Runners and walkers:''' You don't want them to suddenly pop up! # '''Melee mobs that can and will run after your pet:''' Easy to control, since they stick on your pet like glue. # '''Exploding mobs:''' Easy to control, but you need room to get away. # '''Mobs that stay ranged:''' If it likes to run, it's harder to position. # '''Stationary mobs:''' You can't actually pull these nasty little buggers, so it's best to clear around them first. <br>
