| I am making this guide as a non-biased approach to the wizard class and to offer some insight to people who are new to the class or don‘t understand the awesomeness of the class. The wizard class is one of the three most versatile classes, offering great damage, magical defense and , with proper armor/sharding/refining, average pdef and HP.

| == Why Wizard? ==

| As a wizard, you are viewed as a “easy target” and will be owned/insulted/be told you are the weakest class/etc. So, why make a wizard? 4 good reasons to play a wizard

| #You love seeing big numbers pop up- at earlier levels I though everyone was doing the same damage as my friends until I found out I’m doing 2k-3k more damage than most people. The first time I saw big numbers was when I first me it to lvl 60 when I did a 20k water dragon crit on fb 39 second boss (calcid?). After that the numbers I do as REGULAR damage scares my friends.

| #You love a challenge- Wizard is like “Hard” level of perfect world. Every time you level up you got a choice to make (Do I add vit/dex? Is LA or pure better for me?) One slip up and you might as well restat (by spending a fortune on reset notes), make another wiz, or reroll another class.

| #Your in it for endgame- most people who play wizard, play to make it to “endgame” where wizards rape everything in their paths. Playing wizard definitely takes time (3-6 months to reach endgame I believe) but it has its rewards when you are one of the rare endgame wizards on your server.

| #TW - one of the reasons I played wizard was for TW. Many guilds are looking for wizards in TW so basically just say “I’m a wiz” and your sure to get a spot.

| If any of the above match you then you should definitely go wizard. If none do, go ahead and try it out for a few levels. Go on and make your character. I seen many looks for wizards from young to old, different skin colors, rainbow hair (pretty!) and etc. Try to make your own look, I myself generally make my characters(or toons) look like me. Now get yourself a name. When I chose my name I was thinking endgame. I named my character water demon because I liked water spells (they are soooooo awesome) and I wanted to go demon. Now, I am thinking sage and wish I can change my name to water angel >.< so make your name something special and don’t screw up like I did. YOU CAN NOT CHANGE YOUR NAME AFTER YOU CLICK DONE (tear)!

| Now that we got a few reasons to choose the wizard class, made our character and got a good name lets go on to…builds!

| == Builds ==

| | |
| There are many types of builds for a wizard due to versatility. There are 2 main builds (common), 2 secondary builds (non-common/rare) and hybrids (non-common). When choosing a wizard build, think about what you will be doing at later on. Are you just playing to see how you like the class? Are you going all the way to 105? Are you a beginner are the wizard class? Or a expert? Here are some of the builds.

| Pure Magic (pure/pure mag/ pure int)

| This is one of the more common builds. It is:

| *on even levels : 5 mag(magic)
| |
| *on odd levels: 4 mag(magic) 1 str (strength)

| Light Armor (LA)
| |
| | |
| Another common build especially on pvp servers
| |
| *3 mag (magic) 1 dex (dexterity) 1 str (strength) every level
| |
| NOTE: If you want to know if you are doing this build correctly, your dex and str must be your lvl +4 so at lvl 1 you need 5 dex and 5 str to wear light armor.*

| Vitality (vit)

| This build is one of heard of but never tried myself. It involves adding vit for more HP. Its great for beginners I heard.

| Heavy Armor (HA)
| |
| | |
| Since this guide is unbiased, I have to include this build. This build isn’t exactly complete yet since there are a few “kinks” to work out but possibly in the near future this can be a build up to par with pure and LA.

| NOTE: YOU WILL ALWAYS USE HEAVY ARMOR 1 LVL BELOW YOUR ARMOR LVL(USE LVL 30 HEAVY ARMOR AT LVL 40)!!!!!!!!!!!*

| Hybrids

| As you get more experienced with the wizard class, you may decide to fix some of your weaknesses or add more of “x”. This is where hybrid builds come in. Hybrid builds work with pure mag the best since you have extra points to spend. I myself use a hybrid build for more spike damage. Here are a few examples:

| The build I use. It involves adding 20 or 40 dex for 1% or 2% more critical % chance also adds good evasion so when you pop a sandstorm on melee classes you see “miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss”

| You can start this build early or do it later when you have enough mag points to support yourself.

| This build is like the vit build only you cap your vit at a point. A friend told me about this build basically you cap your vit at 30. Once again you can start this build early or later.

| By now, you must have notice something in common with the hybrid builds. You need at least 3 mag every level and 1 str every other level to use a up-to-date magic weapon and armor for your level. Sooner or later you are going to want to try on your own so remember YOU MUST ADD AT LEAST 3 MAG EVERY LEVEL AND 1 STR EVERY OTHER LEVEL!!

| I’m sure all the builds mention above look very interesting and some of you may or may not know what each does so I’m going to point it out here.

| *Pros: High Damage, High Mana, High Magical defense

| *Cons: low defense, low HP
| |

| |
| *Pros: Higher Critical Hit Rate, Average Mana, Average pdef due to Light Armor

| *Cons: low mdef, less damage than pure (unless you crit ^^ ), low mana

| Vit

| *Pros: High HP, more survivability, average defense with enough vit

| *Cons: slightly less damage than pure

| Heavy Armor

| *Pros: pdef through the roof, excellent survivability
