This technique isn't easy to apply and you need lots of control if you don't want to get yourself killed on every attempt.

The main venomancer skills your going to be using is Noxious Gas, Parasitic Nova and Heal Pet. For the optional skill, they are mainly lifesaver skill that can help you to get out of dangerous situation.

Where to hunt?[edit]

The place you're going to hunt is the same place people AoE Zhen, and the same sorts of places where Axe Blademasters AoE grind. In other words, you have to look for places where monster are near to each other and only have physical attack. The reason that you will prefer physical attack is that most magic mobs attack from a distance or are runners and your AOE attack skill will not engulf all the attacking mobs. That said, with MUCH practice and pet maneuvering skill you will be able to gather even some of the magic mob types into a group for the kill. Runners are the most difficult and usually avoided.

Monster Name Level Location
Seaweed Thief 72 Sanctuary
Seaspray Bladewolf 78 Dreamwaver Port
Chief Assassin 80 Nightscream Island (388, 588)
Various Monsters 80-83 Plain of Farewell
Various Monsters 83-85 Burning Heart
Wasteland Lithicran 90 Ancient Wall

There are many other spots, these are just examples.

    • Step 2.4 - At this point all you have left is the Increased HP and Magic Defense Increased monster. Depending on their number, you can kill them with Noxious Gas or your other skills.

Tips[edit]

Getting far away monster[edit]

One of the main problem you're going to face when you try to reach monsters that are far away from the previous one, is that you're going to lose aggro of all the monster you had aggro. But there is a technique that is easy to apply in order to reach those far away monster without losing the aggro on the monster you have aggro.

  • Step 1 - Send your pet to the far away monster and make sure it hit in once.
  • Step 2 - Send your pet to attack a monster that is the group of monster you have aggro.
  • Step 3 - Once your far away monster reach the group of monster, make your pet attack it.

Basically you're making the far away monster do half of the distance between him and the group. Your group of monster also has only half of the distance to do.

Keeping aggro[edit]

If you have trouble keeping aggro on your pet after you do Noxious Gas or Parasitic Nova, you can try to hunt higher level monster. These will take the same amount of damage from your pet, but will take reduce damage from you. In other words you tend to take less aggro from them.
