Well i have done most of these calculation while in various guilds to help people out
It's cheaper to buy the 5 gold mount and use wind widgets to upgrade it than buying the prettier ones.
and my self. and i thought i would share this info for those who need it. and for those that don't know it.


1. Upgrading flying mounts.
Why?<br>
The 5 Gold Flying mounts start off at a speed of 1.00/3.00.<br>
Every upgrade increases it by .50 so to max it you would need to go through all four upgrades.


Tip. its cheaper to buy the 5gold mount and buy the windwidgets to upgrade it then it would be to get the 30gold mount and upgrade it.
*1st upgrade 1.50/3.50 - 20 widgets
*2nd upgrade 2.00/4.00 - 60 widgets
*3rd upgrade 2.50/4.50 - 80 widgets
*4th upgrade 3.00/5.00 - 80 widgets


Why?
Wind widgets are 10 silver ea. or 90 silver for a 10 pack.<br>

So given this information the cost of upgrades would be
every upgrade increases it by .50
*1st upgrade - 1 gold 80 silver
