A class that is good at sneaking around like a lion circling around its prey. Using bleed effects to finish off their enemies quickly, they certainly earn the title of "Assassin". They are rather fragile, but can quickly deal massive damage to an enemy. They have some debuffs which can allow them to survive for longer, such as stun and channel cancel.

Assassin Weapons
Damage Chart: Lower-Low-Medium-High-Higher
Attack Speed Chart: Slower-Slow-Medium-Fast-Faster
Dagger
The primary weapon. Short Range, Medium-Faster attack speed, Low-High damage. Some assassins use fists for the interval they can have on them.
Assassin Armor
Light armor is ideal for this class due to their high dexterity. Heavy armor isn't a very effective alternative since dexterity, and not strength, determines their damage, hence damage is reduced due to the extra strength needed to wear heavy armor, and since they lack the HP to be able to suffer the larger amount of hits they will receive.
Assassin in PvP
Opinion 1: I'd think assassin is really good in one-on-one PvP because of the critical hit skills that Assassins have. They have very good chances of a critical hit and an OK psychical defense. Otherwise, being surround is the big weakness in Assassins. They like killing people one by one, and lack AoE skills, so it's pretty good to attack in a place that has one or two PVPers that are around your level.
Opinion 2: Assassins are good in PvP only if they use their stealth to sneak up on enemies that cannot see them. Assassins don't have much HP or physical or magical defense so they need to be quick and kill the enemy within seconds before they get a chance to fight back. However, when faced with heavy armor classes like the BM and barb, they will find killing them quickly enough to be difficult. Evasion helps, but if even one move hits it's probably going to be either half to a third of your HP, so may want to avoid attacking the heavy armor users.
Assassin in PvE
At low levels, assassins are somewhat bad in PvE mainly due to lack of attack power to heal back with Bloodpaint and also being a melee class but with lack of HP and defence. After killing a mob, you usually suffered so much damage; or death if player charged \ lured into a group of mobs. Unlike archers, assassin do not have the long range to pull a mob and keeping a safe distance, or to kill a mob before it reaches player, or even having room to escape a group of mobs charging at player (although assassin have Shadow Escape, but the lengthy cooldown time makes it impractical in PvE grinding; in addition, any attacks or spell castings prior to disappearing will still hit through (reason why you see assassin drop dead out of stealth sometimes)).
PvE prior to level 89, you would find yourself either relying on buff (mainly defence buff), spending so much time on meditating (HP and MP recovery gears are great to shorten meditation time), needing to use potions (money issue), or maybe even your charm will tick (another money issue). It is better to do quests or grind with a friend or someone who can tank or heal you. After all, assassin do not have the HP and defence like a Barbarian or Blademaster does; nor having the long range an archer has; and at the same time assassin are still lacking attack power and interval gears.
However, upon reaching level 89 obtaining tri-spark, assassin's power will be greatly increased. This is not only because tri-sparking gives lots of damage boost (to heal back with Bloodpaint), it is also the time where lots of interval gears (aps gears) becoming available to players, and also Wolf Emblem skill starting to shine a lot due to having high critical rate (should be hitting more than or near 25%, that is at least 1 in 4 hits chance on average you score a critical hit). Hard hitting tri-spark comboing with high APS and topped with high Dex for dagger damage and critical rate then also Bloodpaint and Wolf Emblem, everything has changed for assassin.
At endgame, with tons of refines (especially on daggers) assassin can deal very high damage to single targets (way more than 5 APS fist BMs, barb or archers) and survive well even being LA and without a healer. This is due to one of the reason daggers natural have higher damage than fist \ claw. Another reason being daggers do not require much Str as suppose to fist \ claw on Dex requirement. Not only that, daggers also use Dex for damage multiplier, and at the same time benefits \ gain much more on critical rate, dodge and accuracy; where as fist \ claw are Str based with spread stat over on Dex, they do not benefit as much than daggers on damage and combating stat. Tho what truly made assassins being mighty powerful and needed at endgame PvE is actually Bloodpaint (with high damage). Seekers, BM, and barb would always ask for it, not only it is like a constant over time healing potion that can stacks with other healing effects; it also increases melee classes survivability alone and decreases the workload of a healer \ supporter classes in squad.
Assassin are hard to play and level at the beginning, but they do pay off well in the end; especially in PvE.
Assassin in Territory Wars
Assassins works very easily if they are unnoticed, they can hide behind allies and strike at enemies that are busy killing others, and even high-level people might be an easy target for assassins. If you're working as a team I recommend obtaining Barbarians and Blademasters for hiding. Because while they stand out, you can sneak behind them and kill the enemy.
