This is a basic merge request box, to request the merging of two separate but overlapping articles on the same topic. To use this put {{Merge_basic|from=PageName1|to=PageName2}} at the top of the article, with the names of the two pages to be merged inside the template tag. This tag should be added to both of the pages to be merged. It also automatically adds the page to the Category:Articles_to_be_merged list.
Note: Once the ParserFunctions plugin is added to this wiki the final line of the above code should be changed to this:
{{#ifeq:{{NAMESPACE}}|{{ns:0}}|[[Category:Articles_to_be_merged]]}}
That should prevent this template from being listed in the Articles to be merged category.
