Jewel Crafting and all its glory
For those that Ponder, "Is it cheaper to buy average or better shards or to make my own?" or the better question, "If I make how own how many shabby shards are needed?"
Here is what I have on this matter.
NOTE: Price in green is the cost to manufacture from shabbys.
Example: 1 rough would need 3 shabby. 1 shabby is 530 coins so 3X530 = 1590 coins.
Also there is NO fee to craft the gems. Just go to the jewelcraftsmen after you have the right amount of shards. You need no skill level either.
| Grade to make | Make from | Number needed | Total Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shabby | (buy from NPC) | 1 shabby | 530 coin |
| Rough | 3 shabby | 3 shabby | 1,590 coin |
| Blemished | 3 rough | 9 shabby | 4,770 coin |
| Common | 3 blemished | 27 shabby | 14,310 coin |
| Average | 4 common | 108 shabby | 57,240 coin |
| Beautiful | 4 average | 432 shabby | 228,960 coin |
| Flawless | 4 beautiful | 1728 shabby | 915,840 coin |
| Immaculate | 5 flawless | 8640 shabby | 4,579,200 coin |
| Perfect | 5 immaculate | 43200 shabby | 22,896,000 coin |
| Incomparable | 5 perfect | 216,000 shabby | 114,480,000 coin |
| Gem | 6 incomparable | 1,296,000 shabby | 686,880,000 coin |
| Stone | 6 gem | 7,776,000 shabby | 4,121,280,000 coin |
| Diamond of Tiger | 6 stone | 46,656,000 shabby | 24,727,680,000 coin |
| Diamond of Dragon | 3 Diamond of Tiger | 139,968,000 shabby | 74,183,040,000 coin |
Use this to compare your prices. If you see a beautiful shard going for 300k, then you know you can make one cheaper.
Now compare the cost of the shabby to the cost of the shard the person is selling.
Example: An average garnet shard in the shop is 60k some player will sell it for 49~60k
and the cost for 108 shabby garnets from the shop is 57,240 coins.
Don't let the number of shabby fool you, it's best to compare the prices.
