:: Great! Thanks for the timely reply and the help. I'll be gone on vacation from tomorrow to next wednesday, so I won't be able to get started right away, but I can't wait to contribute. I checked out the page that already exists, and I think it's very nice. I'll definitely use that as a starting point and add the other world bosses to it. I think I'd still like to add a separate world boss page, as technically a world boss is one which doesn't have any link at all to quests. An explanation of the differences between world bosses and normal bosses (besides the obvious level difference) is one that I feel could be useful to both pwi newbs and it would serve as an eaiser starting point for the seasoned vet looking to plan his faction's next kill. Once again, thanks! (P.S. is there a way to auto-timestamp?)-- [[User:Jeradal1|Jeradal1]] | |||

Cost?
dont know how sorry im new at this game like i havent even dowloaded it cause i wanna knoww if its a 100 % free to play Kyleramsay 10:53, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
- You should download and play it before you make any decisions. Yes, it is technically 100% free to play, you don't pay anything unless you absolutely want to... But for added benefits (larger inventory & bank, binding charms, etc.) you'll have to pay unless you find someone selling them in a user shop. Llewellyn 23:22, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
Yes i suggest you play the game... and yes it is 100% free. Its super fun and is a very popular game. If you want to spend money in the item mall than you can bye whats called Zen then you can bye special items in game... most fashions you can bye in the auction but they cost extra coins so be shure you have every thing you want to bye before spending extra money. The item mall also has every thing in it but it is still 100% free --Janelle4646 16:34, 7 June 2010 (UTC)ellie
Just wondering
If you have any ideas on making this wiki more clean please send me a PM on the forum. I want to make this wiki really polished but I must admit that I am only semi-decent and wiki coding --Eatwithspoons 19:24, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Can we start building a proper wiki now? As things are now it looks a bloody fan wiki, with fail grammar and spelling to boot. I'm happy to help out building them as a normal user, I've made tonnes of modifications on other wiki's and this one is hopefully going to be no different. I hope there's activity here and that the thing will look nice in a couple of weeks/months. Aikon91 13:51, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
- I've started a character template for people to use on their personal Wiki pages. Also, I'd like to point out I'm a total Template novice, so maybe a staff member can put up an in-depth guide on how to use other's templates on their own page. I know how to use mine, but I'm going to end up changing a lot to it, in time.
- On a side-note, the Wiki is small and it's too easy to just link to the main site for information. We should copy information onto this Wiki. As things are now, there's just Guides on the classes pages, we could sub-categorize them and link to them at an in-depth article on each class.
- I'm basically hoping SOMEONE replies here within the day.
- Also, I was/am Aikon91 up there, because the Wiki is using the nicknames we registered with, I just never read you guys linked it to the Wiki. (Not fond of that link at all, but it's a matter of opinion.) -- Initian - Rawr :3 Come talk to me! ^-^ 18:28, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
- Does this mean it's just us two? Bit inconvenient, innit? Oh well, we'll work around that.
- EDIT: Never mind, I've seen EWS fixing minors as well, that makes 3. Three is a good start, but maybe host a Wiki Template Contest? All could be used, of course, but the winner(s) could get some prizes. (I won't be submitting to such a contest, in case someone finds that unfair.) -- Initian - Rawr :3 Come talk to me! ^-^ 11:22, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
Extensions
I just looked, and you don't have any extensions installed. I'd recommend at least installing ParserFunctions, as it allows for more elaborate templates. The Cite extension is also nice if you want people to add references to articles. Adding some of the antiabuse filters (like AbuseFilter, AntiBot, SpamBlacklist, TorBlock, and/or UploadBlacklist) might be a good idea as well. Information on extensions can be found here along with a list of extensions here or here. You can take a look here to see what extensions are installed at Wikipedia. Thanks. -- Sangodoc (talk) 20:19, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- For the abuse filters, we don't really need those if we assign moderators to the Wiki that check the recent changes a lot. Other than that, if this place gets more interesting, people will join and scout the changes as well, you could grant a wiki anti-abuse support prize to people once a month. (Again, I will not be valid a prize for opting this.) -- Initian - Rawr :3 Come talk to me! ^-^ 21:30, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
One other extension I'd like to see added is the ImageMap extension. It would allow you to make a single image you could click on, but it would take you to different pages depending on where you clicked on the image. This way you could make a map "zoom in" page, for example. -- Sangodoc (talk) 02:11, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
Version
FYI, the latest version of MediaWiki is v1.15.1, but for some reason we're running v1.13.3, which is around 10 months old. You might want to see if you can get that updated as well. Thanks. -- Sangodoc (talk) 20:28, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- FYI #2: The latest version is now v1.15.3 (a security release!) and the v1.16.0 beta 2 release has come out as well, so now our version is closing in on a year and a half old and is very out of date. Please update ASAP. Thanks. -- Sangodoc (talk) 23:48, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

The "link=" part can be removed, and redirects should be done on the actual pages. Less messy, definitely. -- Initian - Rawr :3 Come talk to me! ^-^ 12:19, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
- No, what is done there should work (well, except for the Archer link, which shouldn't have the extra brackets). I'm not sure why it doesn't work, so I suspect that it's either that the wiki is out of date (hence my "Version" section above) or it's missing an extension (though I don't know which one that would be). I did a quick test with similar code on Wikipedia, and it worked fine. For some reason this wiki is treating the link part as alt text instead of making the image work as a link. So, yeah, the "link=" part of each line should be removed, but only until linking that way has been fixed. Also, I don't think you can or even would want to put redirects on a file page. -- Sangodoc (talk) 19:02, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I know an extreme amount of wiki's redirecting to article's when clicked on a random image. If you need the image you can click from where has been redirected, it should be less messy and more organized. But if it's the out-of-date version making sure it doesn't work, then the

Fix the link style
I have no idea what in an article is a link and what is text because it all looks the same. Please make links a different color or underlined or *something* to differentiate them from text.
The previous sentence contained 3 links. Could you tell? --Asterelle 21:26, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. Links should stand out by default. I set my preferences to underline links so I can tell what is or isn't linked, but links should be noticeable to everyone right away. Please make links a different color than regular text, like the way Wikipedia does it. Thank you. -- Sangodoc (talk) 07:56, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
Copyrighted Content
This image Image:Images-witches-g.jpg appears to violate the "no copyrighted content" rule for the wiki, however I do not see a mechanism to mark the page as a possible violation or to mark it for deletion. Could a moderator please look into this? Thanks. -- Sangodoc (talk) 05:47, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- This image Image:3deaab178ec9d70034ce069b91486dd5.jpg is probably also a copyright violation and is not being used on any page here. -- Sangodoc (talk) 21:31, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Noob Questions
Hey, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to put this kind of question, but I'll delete/move it if someone tells me to. Anyways: I am new to the idea of wikis in general, but I would like to become a regular contributor. My main two questions are how to place pictures and also how to add a new page. For example, we have a page for the Harpy Wraith, but I found no other page on any of the other world bosses. The Harpy Wraith page is well done; I was thinking of making similar pages for other world bosses, and then a World Boss page that explains what world bosses are, general drops, tactics, ecetera. This page would link to all of the other World Boss pages. (This is just an example of the pages I'd like to create.) Anyways, if anyone can help me, thank you very much. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to put this. -- Jeradal1 (In-game: Lost City- Christalah) 03:38, 6 July 2010
- This is the perfect place for those kinds of questions. To create a new page, either edit the URL above after "/index.php/" to have the name of the page you want, like "/index.php/Eyes_of_the_Krimson", and edit that page; or do a search on the name of the page you want, and then click on the link it creates near the top of the search page.
- To add images to the wiki, first use the "Upload File" link on the Toolbox menu to the left of every page to upload the image file. To add an image to a page you can just put a link to the image like this: [[Image:YourImage.png]] , or you can use the Imagebox template (<-- link for more info) if you want something a bit more advanced. Keep in mind that clicking on the Edit link at the top of any page will let you see the source, so you can copy any useful code from other pages.
