Refining equipment adds HP, attack, or defense depending on the piece refined. In every major city, The Elder has the ability to “Refine Equipment” for you. The only required items to refine a piece of equipment are Mirage Celestones. You will need 2 stones for weapons and 1 stone for armor. As your equipment levels up, it will gain a specific effect depending on the type of equipment. For example, if you have a Robe with level 1 refinement and gained a +13 to health then a level 2 refinement would yield 13*2 = +26 HP. For more information, refer to the Refining Bonuses chart below.

The higher the upgrade, the more difficult it becomes. Starting from level 1, your success is not guaranteed. If you fail an upgrade, your item returns to level 0 unless you use a Dragon Ball (Explained later).

Refining specific equipment has various effects:

Normal Weapons – Physical Attack Upgrade

Magic Instruments – Magic Attack Upgrade

Physical Attack Rings – Physical Defense Upgrade

Magic Attack Rings – Magic Defense Upgrade

Physical Defense Ornaments – Physical Defense Upgrade

Magic Defense Ornaments – Magic Defense Upgrade

Evasion Improvement Ornaments – Evasion Upgrade

Robes - Maximum HP Increase

Armor - Maximum HP Increase

Refining with Dragon Orbs:

What is a Dragon Ball? No this is not the dragon ball Z video or anything like that. Although i think it kinda relates. Hehehe.

Have you ever wanted an upgraded item but you can't get past +2because it always fails after that? A dragon ball basically makesupgrading easier. Perfect. 100% Success.

Where to get them? You can do it the hard way 1) Some treasure boxes in the Arena have them. Very rare drop. 2) Some GM-sponsored events.

OR…

3) In the item mall. Dragon balls level 1 - 5 are being sold there. Crates are somtimes on sale that sell higher lvl Dragon Balls

How to use a ball? o Insert a Dragon Ball in the slot for upgrading gems whileupgrading your item. Keep in mind that you must still have therequisite amount of Immortal Stones to upgrade your item.

o The number of stars on the Dragon Ball indicates the limit of the safe upgrade guarantee of the gem. A Nine-Star Dragon Ball guarantees safe upgrading for +1 through +9.Blue-Sea is safe until +10, Prismatic is safe to +11 and Burning-Red issafe to +12.

o Once you use a dragon ball, the dragon ball disappears.

How to create a higher level of Dragon ball? o You can combine Dragon Balls at the Alchemist NPC (Last tab) inorder to get a higher level Dragon Ball. The formulas are as follow:

Refining without Dragon Orbs:

There is an NPC, Duke Blacke, that wonders around Archosaur that sometimes gives players advice on refining. He tells you to go to the officer of a certain town for a higher chance at getting a certain refine without using any additional items. Some players believe what this NPC says really does increase the refining rate, but others don't. If you're feeling lucky, why not test it out?

    • NOTE: To use the officers in some of these areas, you may need to be in the faction that currently has control over the area to talk to the officer.
