Cost?

dont know how sorry im new at this game like i havent even dowloaded it cause i wanna knoww if its a 100 % free to play Kyleramsay 10:53, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

You should download and play it before you make any decisions. Yes, it is technically 100% free to play, you don't pay anything unless you absolutely want to... But for added benefits (larger inventory & bank, binding charms, etc.) you'll have to pay unless you find someone selling them in a user shop. Llewellyn 23:22, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Just wondering

If you have any ideas on making this wiki more clean please send me a PM on the forum. I want to make this wiki really polished but I must admit that I am only semi-decent and wiki coding --Eatwithspoons 19:24, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

Can we start building a proper wiki now? As things are now it looks a bloody fan wiki, with fail grammar and spelling to boot. I'm happy to help out building them as a normal user, I've made tonnes of modifications on other wiki's and this one is hopefully going to be no different. I hope there's activity here and that the thing will look nice in a couple of weeks/months. Aikon91 13:51, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

I've started a character template for people to use on their personal Wiki pages. Also, I'd like to point out I'm a total Template novice, so maybe a staff member can put up an in-depth guide on how to use other's templates on their own page. I know how to use mine, but I'm going to end up changing a lot to it, in time.
On a side-note, the Wiki is small and it's too easy to just link to the main site for information. We should copy information onto this Wiki. As things are now, there's just Guides on the classes pages, we could sub-categorize them and link to them at an in-depth article on each class.
I'm basically hoping SOMEONE replies here within the day.
Also, I was/am Aikon91 up there, because the Wiki is using the nicknames we registered with, I just never read you guys linked it to the Wiki. (Not fond of that link at all, but it's a matter of opinion.) -- Initian - Rawr :3 Come talk to me! ^-^ 18:28, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
The wiki is still fairly new. I'm doing minor fixes here and there, but yeah, it still needs a lot more work. Keep at it and I'm sure any efforts will be appreciated.  :-) -- Sangodoc (talk) 19:46, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
Does this mean it's just us two? Bit inconvenient, innit? Oh well, we'll work around that.
EDIT: Never mind, I've seen EWS fixing minors as well, that makes 3. Three is a good start, but maybe host a Wiki Template Contest? All could be used, of course, but the winner(s) could get some prizes. (I won't be submitting to such a contest, in case someone finds that unfair.) -- Initian - Rawr :3 Come talk to me! ^-^ 11:22, 15 October 2009 (UTC)

Extensions

I just looked, and you don't have any extensions installed. I'd recommend at least installing ParserFunctions, as it allows for more elaborate templates. The Cite extension is also nice if you want people to add references to articles. Adding some of the antiabuse filters (like AbuseFilter, AntiBot, SpamBlacklist, TorBlock, and/or UploadBlacklist) might be a good idea as well. Information on extensions can be found here along with a list of extensions here or here. You can take a look here to see what extensions are installed at Wikipedia. Thanks. -- Sangodoc (talk) 20:19, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

For the abuse filters, we don't really need those if we assign moderators to the Wiki that check the recent changes a lot. Other than that, if this place gets more interesting, people will join and scout the changes as well, you could grant a wiki anti-abuse support prize to people once a month. (Again, I will not be valid a prize for opting this.) -- Initian - Rawr :3 Come talk to me! ^-^ 21:30, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

Version

FYI, the latest version of MediaWiki is v1.15.1, but for some reason we're running v1.13.3, which is around 10 months old. You might want to see if you can get that updated as well. Thanks. -- Sangodoc (talk) 20:28, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
