Making a good cleric

A Word before starting

I have a friend of whom inspired me to make a guide for wiki on making a cleric my own way! Though it might not look so well since it's my first time making a guide. Though some people have no idea of how to make a good cleric, and then that kinda annoys me 'cause then i can go and tell them what to fix and then they are like: "Wait, what?!". One common mistake I've seen here on PWI is that people put dexterity in their cleric, while that is a big mistake, also to much strength, since that can damage your damage to monsters or to people (If you are on a PVP server).

Stats

Ok, as many people know, there are ways of putting your Attribute Points. Here are a few that are common:

Vitality build:

Odd level:

  • +1 vitality
  • +1 strength
  • +3 magic

Even level:

  • +5 magic

Pure magic build:

Odd level:

  • +1 strength
  • +4 magic

Even level:

  • +5 magic

I have also made an altered build, and i would advise this one, since it does good damage too:

Same as pure magic until level 5: You keep the vitality at your own level. Example: At level 6 this would be your stats:

Vitality: 6 Magic: 27 Strength: 7 Dexterity: 5

I am not very sure if you understand that, so if you don't I am extremely sorry!

Tho basically it's from level 6+:

Odd levels

  • +1 vitality
  • +1 strength
  • +3 magic

Even levels

  • +1 vitality
  • +4 magic

And it is recommended to do this until your vitality reaches 50, without equipment.

Skills

Ok, so, as you know, skills are the ones that give you damage, but, You don't know with skills to level either! Don't worry, this is why I made this page! So, let's start it by the skills you learn at each level!

Level 1:

Plume Shot: Yes, you may level this skill, once maxed it it does 1379.6 + 100% of base magic attack. With is quite powerful. Maxed at level 45

Blessing of the Purehearted: I wouldn't level this skill, since it has a very long channeling time, so i don't think it really is suited, but the choice is up to you. Once maxed it heals 665 + 40% of your base magic attack. Maxed at level 45

Level 3

Great Cyclone: This is a very good skill, fast channeling+cast, does good damage, and it has a chance to slow down the target! To max this skill out is a definite MUST! Once maxed it does 1972.6 + 100% Of your basic magic attack, and it has a 90% chance to slow down the target. Maxed at level 48

Level 6

Ironheart Blessing: This skill is a MUST! It heals you over time, and so it is great for before attacking a monster! Once maxed out it heals 714 + 30% of your base magic attack.

Level 9

Plume shell: Leveling this skill is up to you, it is a great help for against Magic Resistance. When maxed it absorbs 80% for 20 seconds, every hit point absorbed costs you 1.1 MP. Maxed at level 54

Wellspring Surge: Again, leveling this skill is up to you, though I would advise you to max this skill out moderately. When maxed it heals 350 + 20% of your basic magic attack. Maxed at level 54

Vanguard Spirit: Max this skill as soon as possible is my opinion, since you are very weak against physical damage. When maxed it increases your physical defense by 60% for 30 minutes. Maxed at level 36

Flight Mastery: Maxing this skill out is your own choice, tho i wouldn't do it, since you will have better skills to spend your spirit on. When maxed it gives you +2.0 wings. Maxed at level 54

Level 16:

Thunderball: Maxing out this skill is fine, but, it is also your choice on leveling this skill. When maxed it deals instant damage equal to your basic magic attack, and it adds damage over time worth or 4419.7 for 15 seconds.

(This page is still work in preogress!)
