Hi, I'm glad to see you are interested in the Perfect World game as I am hooked. I am not always going to get to view these pages so it might take a while for me to respond to any messages.

See you in game, Ctstew 02:32, 3 October 2010 (UTC) User Talk

COMMENTS - SUGGESTIONS - MESSAGES (New Postings on Top)[edit]

I reverted the changes you made to the Cloud Skatefish page because they actually made the page worse, in my opinion. You didn't really add any new information to the page, but made it about 50% taller (compare original to spread out versions). That just means that you're wasting space, and making the user scroll around more to see the same amount of information. The original way looked much tighter and cleaner, and made it easer to see more information at once, so I went back to that. I'm not opposed to a change, but merely spreading things out is not an improvement from a usability or a readability standpoint. -- Sangodoc - PWI wiki mod (talk) 17:17, 28 February 2012 (PST)

Your page Ctstew SandBox was not created the correct way for a sandbox page, so I moved it to User:Ctstew/Sandbox. This way it is not an article, but instead it's your personal sandbox page. I also updated the Creating a New Wiki Page to note how this should be done. -- Sangodoc - PWI wiki mod (talk) 08:46, 6 February 2012 (PST)

Heh... I just noticed that you had an older sandbox with different capitalization here: User:Ctstew/SandBox. So now you have two sandboxes. -- Sangodoc - PWI wiki mod (talk) 09:33, 6 February 2012 (PST)

OK, a few things to discuss here, so I'll separate them into paragraphs.

First, the "Monster & Pet Bio Template" you created isn't really a template in the wiki sense of the word, it's more of an example. In a wiki, a template is a pre-made complex object of some sort, and to use it you put the name of the template in double curly-braces ("{" and "}"), along with any variables and their values. Such a template will then be displayed with those values used to define how the template looks and what its content is. Examples of real wiki templates are in the Templates article, so the Template Pages article is both redundant and wrong. If you want, I can convert the Monster & Pet Bio Template article into an actual template, just let me know if that's what you'd like.

Speaking of the Monster & Pet Bio Template article, the "Non Elemental" column in the table under "Magical Defense" makes no sense, since there is no such thing as a non-elemental magical defense. There are the five elemental magical defenses, plus the two physical defenses ("Physical Defense" and "Evasion"). Also, there is no need to put a new row marker ("|-") just before an end of table marker ("|}"). I removed both of those before, but since you put them back in, I figured I should explain why I've removed them again. I made a few other edits there as well (see here).

Regarding link colors, I would prefer that you do not add colors or other symbols to links. I've been working to get them shown more visibly without such things. If you change link colors and such, then once I get that fixed it means that we'll have to go back and fix all of those links so they appear in a standard way. For this reason I changed the links in that article back to the standard format.

Finally, you should not delete or modify content on other people's user talk pages, as you did here. While anyone can leave each other messages on user talk pages, each person has the right to control any other editing or deletion of content on their own user talk page. Basically, it's their record of comments to them, so you don't have the right to change someone else's record. You can delete or archive comments on your own talk page, just not anyone else's.

Thanks again for working on the wiki. -- Sangodoc - PWI wiki mod (talk) 17:09, 14 November 2010 (UTC)

FYI, I made a few changes to the Cloud Skatefish article, as there were some errors and omissions there. The main problem was that you had the mob stats and the pet stats all jumbled together. Since the stats change when you defeat the mob and turn it into a pet, I separated the mob stats and the pet stats into two separate tables. Look it over and let me know if you have any questions on why I made any other particular changes. Thanks again for your work on the wiki.  :-) -- Sangodoc - PWI wiki mod (talk) 02:17, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

One other comment, please do not put your signature (the "~~~~") in articles. You should only sign your comments on talk pages. I'm actually slowly going through other articles and removing signatures, so adding more just adds more work for me. Also, links to other articles in the wiki should be in the format "[[Article Name]]" or "[[Article Name|text you want to appear]]", and not "[http://pwi-wiki.perfectworld.com/index.php/Article Name]", because that is the method for making external links. Thank you. -- Sangodoc - PWI wiki mod (talk) 03:26, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

(Responding to your comment on my talk page.) I said the problem was with "links to other articles in the wiki", not links to other sites. For example, in these edits you linked to the Cloud Skatefish article using an external link style instead of the style I suggested above. -- Sangodoc - PWI wiki mod (talk) 04:11, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

Hi, and thanks for working on the wiki.  :-) Just a few things you should know. When talking to another user on the wiki you should use their talk page, not their user page. Only mods or the user themselves should edit a user page, unless given permission by the user. Also, users are notified of edits to their talk page so that they will know to read them. I moved your comment to Rubberduckzilla over to his talk page. When adding a comment to a talk page it should be signed at the end with "~~~~", which will automatically be changed to a name and date, such as the one at the end of this comment. Next, please try to avoid using hidden comments on pages. Notes such as who edited what are unnecessary, since you can find out all of that on the page's history. Finally, I don't think Rubberduckzilla edits here anymore, so feel free to make any updates you think are necessary yourself. Thanks again, and please let me know if you have any questions. -- Sangodoc - PWI wiki mod (talk) 03:37, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
