So, you chose a Wizard for PvPing, correct? Well then, allow me to introduce you to what lies ahead. First off, you may or may not know, that we Wizards are 1st to dealing the most damage (not when we're at lower levels were not!). "Sir, I chose Wizards because we deal the '''most''' damage, but why do we lose to Archers?" Well, because of the Archer's range and high crits, they deal damage according to how far they're are! But there's a bad thing to Archers, which Archers deal 50% of their damage in close range! So whenever an Archer attacks you (and if they actually miss you with their stun skills) Distance Shrink to them and fire away! And if they decide to use a physical-close range skill (which is known as these skills: Winged Pledge and Wingspan, see [[Archer Skill List]]), just cast Stone Barrier Skill and spam pots/whatever to win!

Welcome to the Crysil's Guide to Wizard's PvP! If you have come here for a reason, let me guess the reason.... Hmmm... Are you thinking of PvPing with your Wizard? Well, let me help you! This guide is to show what Wizards should and should not do during a PvP session, and also other things such as 'What do Sage/Demon paths do to help you with your skills?' If you're a beginner (I presume that you're level 30-50 to use this guide) you will find out what will come when you reach higher levels.

Introduction

So, you chose a Wizard for PvPing, correct? Well then, allow me to introduce you to what lies ahead. First off, you may or may not know, that we Wizards are 1st to dealing the most damage (not when we're at lower levels were not!). "Sir, I chose Wizards because we deal the most damage, but why do we lose to Archers?" Well, because of the Archer's range and high crits, they deal damage according to how far they're are! But there's a bad thing to Archers, which Archers deal 50% of their damage in close range! So whenever an Archer attacks you (and if they actually miss you with their stun skills) Distance Shrink to them and fire away! And if they decide to use a physical-close range skill (which is known as these skills: Winged Pledge and Wingspan, see Archer Skill List), just cast Stone Barrier Skill and spam pots/whatever to win!

Skills you SHOULD always try to max

This also gives a small description of some skills and what Sage/Demon skills affect them!

FIRE TREE

Divine Pyrogram

  • Fairly cheaper to max than Sandstorm, deals 300% damage, but lesser additional damage (2994 damage to be exact). It's a fair skill, doesn't hurt to max it.

EARTH TREE

Stone Barrier

  • This is one of the self-buffs you would be using a lot... especially if you're hanging around Archosaur's West gate or the Silver Pool. This skill (when maxed) gives you DOUBLE of your already-low Physical Defense! Should I say again, DOUBLE!

  • Sage effects- Just gives more Earth Resistance, it's now 150% instead of 100%.
  • Demon effects- The skill used to give double physical defense, now guess what, it now gives Double and a HALF!

Note: By the time of Sage/Demon cultivation, the skill should change to give 120% more Earth resistance and 120% Physical defense already, so if you choose Sage, the skill will give 120% more Physical defense and 150% more Earth Resistance, for Demon the skill will give 150% more Physical Defense and 120% more Earth Resistance.

Other facts you should know:

  • This skill is learned at level 9 and can be maxed at level 54.
  • Once again, it DOUBLES your defense when maxed.
  • The skill costs 30 chi, so just don't go to PKing areas when you don't have any chi! Get some chi first!
  • This skill also gives double defense to your existing Earth defense. Not useful tho unless you are facing a Psychic or another Wizard.
  • This skill lasts 15 minutes.

Sandstorm

  • This is one decent attack skill (in other word, a LOT of damage is dealt when you use this skill on your opponent!) and it also reduces your opponent's Accuracy to 50% for 10 seconds (when maxed). It also deals 300% OF WEAPON DAMAGE (when maxed).

  • Sage effects- Decreased accuracy by 15 seconds.
  • Demon effects- Adds additional damage by 1200.

Note: Sage/Demon cultivation will affect the skill to deal damage by 6560 and range is extended to 30 meters. Sage decreased accuracy by 15 seconds total (not 10 seconds) and Demon adds 1200 damage so the total damage is 7760 damage.
